Overview

Join a series of joyful, hands-on storytelling workshops where children become the makers, dreamers, and tellers of their own stories!

Join Prospect Park Alliance and Spilling Ink or a series of joyful, hands-on storytelling workshops where children become the makers, dreamers, and tellers of their own stories! Through mask-making, story circles, and imaginative play, children will explore feelings, create characters, and bring their stories to life in a safe, nurturing space.

Each session weaves together creativity, nature, and emotional learning — encouraging kids to discover the magic in their voices and the power in their imagination.

What Kids Will Do:

  • Craft their own masks using natural and sustainable materials
  • Invent stories through guided play, drawing, and role-play
  • Collaborate in story circles where everyone’s voice matters
  • Share and celebrate their creations in a mini “show & tell” moment

Every workshop invites curiosity, self-expression, and community.

For Parents & Caregivers

These sessions are designed to be safe, inclusive, and child-led, offering a calm and welcoming environment where every child feels seen and valued. You’re invited to stay nearby, observe, and even take part in gentle reflection circles at the end. Bring your child, your curiosity, and maybe a small object from nature that feels special - a leaf, a stone, a stick — to become part of their story.
