Rebecca Sharp is an acclaimed poet & interdisciplinary artist with over 20 years' professional experience. Her tarot practice is called Tarot Circo, which often overlaps with her creative work - such as here, with Creative Alchemy.
In each session, you'll learn about the astrological, mythological and Elemental features of the season. We'll draw from poetry, music and art, as well as other guides and anchor-points that speak to the occasion. We'll explore Tarot archetypes and how they relate to our individual and collective circumstances. There will be guided creative writing, journaling and visualisation exercises per session; some embodied practice (including outdoors, depending on the weather); activities such as sigils, candle carving, and other ritual crafting. There will be plenty opportunity for sharing and group input, as well as what's prepared for you.
What you'll come away with:
• a nourishing, fun & supportive group experience;
• deeper knowledge of Tarot (whether new or building on existing experience), and how to incorporate the cards into an ongoing ritual and creative practice;
• some technical skills and templates for writing and working with poetry, however far you want to take it – no experience required, this will all be supported;
• a deeper understanding of how seasons, cycles and elements connect with various mythologies and practices, and how to work with them creatively;
• tools for engaging with archetypes and energies to inspire and enrich your everyday life;
• inspiration and focus for an unlocked or refreshed creative practice;
• confidence and sense of connection within yourself, with others, with more-than-human and liminal worlds;
• a journal full of notes, poems and other writing, invocations, rituals, sketches and plans - as finished pieces, and as fuel for further practice.
The group is capped at 10 participants (aged 18+) to ensure quality of experience. Commitment to & payment for all 4 sessions is required in order to support planning – this can be divided into instalments by arrangement.
A PDF run-down of all the sessions is available upon request before booking. Ahead of each session, you’ll receive a more detailed run-down of activities, including any preparation required, or things you’ll need to bring. Some materials will be provided.
