About the Speaker
Bonnie Barker serves as the Program Manager of the ECDI Women's Business Center of Central Appalachia. As a Certified Business Advisor, she brings both expertise and real-world experience to the entrepreneurs she supports. Bonnie knows the ins and outs of what small businesses need to succeed, guiding clients through resources, requirements, and opportunities with confidence and care.
Entrepreneurship runs deep in her family. For over 20 years, Bonnie and her husband have owned a successful construction company. She has also operated a thriving boutique and is already dreaming up her next business venture (or two!). Her firsthand experience as a business owner gives her a unique perspective when walking alongside other entrepreneurs.
When she isn’t meeting with clients, you’ll often find Bonnie spending time with family and friends, enjoying long walks, or finding ways to give back to her community.
The Economic & Community Development Institute's Women's Business Centers of Ohio guide individuals at any stage of the business process. Through one-on-one counseling sessions with WBC staff and volunteers, you can get the direction and resources to meet your goals. Business advisers want to help you successfully start a business, or grow and expand your existing business -- increasing revenue and creating jobs for the local economy.
The WBCs present training workshops regularly to provide access to small business knowledge at no charge. They are the only SBA-funded Women's Business Centers in the state.
