Overview
Creating Space San Francisco
Creating Space invites you to join us in San Francisco on Saturday, November 8, from 1-4 PM for “Tending to the Child Within” — a free, interactive community event dedicated to exploring the childhood experiences that continue to shape who we are today. Presented in partnership with The Asian American Foundation
We’re honored to welcome back award-winning journalist Lisa Ling @lisalingstagram as our host. The afternoon will open with a panel discussion led by our Chief Wellness Officer, renowned psychologist and author Dr. Jenny T. Wang, PhD @asiansformentalhealth, joined by an intergenerational group of voices including:
• Dave Lu @dlusanity | Managing Director of Hyphen Capital @hyphencap
• Ally Maki @allymaki | Actress, Writer, Entrepreneur, and Founder & CEO of Asian American Girl Club @asianamericangirlclub
• Ethan Su | Executive Director of AAPI Youth Rising @aapiyouthrising
• Gym Tan @californiaistoocasual | Content Creator
Panelists will share how tending to their childhood selves has shaped their journeys toward empowerment and healing.
Following the panel, an audience Q&A will invite you into dialogue with the panelists and one another, exploring how connecting with the child within can unlock fuller, freer, and more abundant lives. Together, we can create space for gentle reflection on what we may still be carrying — and inspire transformation of old patterns into new strength, purpose, and empowerment.
