Event description

Description

The New York State Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NYSCASA) with support from the Center for Women in Government and Civil Society, invites crisis counselors, violence prevention advocates/educators, and community partners to join each other for a 1.5 day interactive training and discussion on the intersections of policy, oppression, and survivor healing and justice. Presented by NYSCASA staff in collaboration with Jean Fei, Racial Justice Trainer & Consultant and former NY State Victim Assistance Academy Director for NYSCASA. We intend to gather crisis counselors, violence prevention advocates/educators and your community partners.

We ask you to invite individuals and organizations from your community with whom you partner or would like to partner with in your anti-violence efforts. Please note that the schedule for both days is not finalized but will approximately be 8:30- 4:30, with lunch on our own. Additional details and finalized agenda will be sent by email to registrants prior to the event. If any pressing questions arise, contact Chrys Ballerano @cballerano@nyscasa.org or call 518-482-4222.
