Creating Compelling People Pictures

1:00–4:00 PM

Ray Schneider, Freelance Photographer and Author of What the Photographer Sees

Whether a formal portrait, casual family snapshot, or street scene in another country, taking good people pictures doesn’t have to be an accident. Explore how to compose photographs of people that draw the viewer in, evoke emotion, and tell a story. Review many of the core tenets of composition and discover how to capture the right gestures, expressions, and background with camera settings and a practiced eye.

Suited for photographers and artists. Some photography experience recommended. Participants should bring 2–3 of their own images for discussion on a memory stick.
