Creating Circles of Care: Supporting Mental Health Organizations in Responding to a Client Death

A free, one hour workshop for individuals working in mental health organizations on how to use grief informed practices to develop a caring and holistic response to the death of a client.

After the workshop, attendees will be able to:

- Identify and articulate practices of grief informed care

- Develop understanding of the prevalence of client death for mental health providers

- Learn practical approaches to reduce shame and isolation regarding the death of a client


About the workshop facilitator

Andrea Henderson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the Clinical Director of Crisis Support Services of Alameda County. Andrea has a background in crisis work, working with youth, and oversees the intern training program at CSS.
