Creating Advanced Projection Mapped AR Installations

Expanding on the introductory projection mapping workshop, let's dive deeper into how to actually make advanced light art installations. We'll discuss all the logistics of planning an installation: what projectors to use, what lenses, blending projectors, media players, and how to add simple interactivity or control via MIDI triggers, camera input. We'll also demo two advanced mapping techniques (3D UVs, Structured Light Scanning) and their use cases. Finally we'll discuss how to setup an installation everyone can contribute to by establishing a content template, and then how to deploy simple installations that last.

Prerequisite: Attend "Augmenting The World With Light: An Introduction to Projection Mapping" or previous foundational knowledge of projection mapping.

Required Materials: Bring your own video files to utilize, or ideas for installations you'd like feedback on or help planning. It is helpful to have a laptop with a free version of madmapper installed. we do have a few you cna borrow.
