It’s a journey into paper making! I'm Lyndi Perry, proprietor of Woodsy Art Cafe and passionate local creator. Catch my my enthusiasm for a material we all take for granted and elevate your own art with custom pages you can make yourself with some simple techniques and a little practice. I'm so excited to partner with Home Range Brewing to produce this workshop!

You will learn:

-How to make a basic batch of paper pulp

-How to use a mold and deckle to form sheets

-How simple processing of natural materials can enhance your paper pulp

-Tips for using paper you created


You will receive:

-Your own mold and deckle

-Technical inks for creating colorful wicking patterns

-A brush pen for calligraphy or adding fine lines to your work

-A sample of paper I've created from different plants for inspiration and experimentation


You will create:

-A set of pages from a batch of pulp we'll mix together!

-A work of experimental art from the sample pages I'll provide


About me:

I'm Lyndi Perry - environmental scientist, musician, and proprietor of Woodsy Art Cafe, a place where we strive to nourish the creative body and spirit with fascinating foods and eclectic art and craft offerings.

I believe that nature can provide all kinds of inspiration and material to use for art and DIY projects, and am thrilled to partner with Home Range on this creative workshop series that will empower you to Create w/Nature.
