Create with Me: InDesign | Book Design with Zoë Sadokierski & Dan Milnor
Overview
Join us for a design-forward edition of Create with Me: InDesign, led by acclaimed book designer and educator Zoë Sadokierski and Blurb’s creative ambassador Dan Milnor. In this interactive workshop, you’ll follow along in InDesign as they demonstrate the advanced decisions—grids, pacing, hierarchy, and typographic clarity—that give professionally designed books their impact.
Sadokierski will show you how she builds structure on the page, balances text and images, and uses layout systems to create clean, intentional visual rhythm. Milnor will bring the storytelling perspective, walking through how sequencing, editorial choices, and design discipline shape a strong narrative through print. Together, they’ll design a layout in real time and explain why each choice matters.
Whether you're refining a project or starting from a loose idea, you’ll leave with practical tools, creative insight, and a clearer sense of how pros think through every step of book design. Fire up InDesign and bring a project idea (polished or messy) and your curiosity. Let’s make something exceptional together.
