Create a Pollinator Habitat in Your School Garden (In-Person Workshop)

Create a Pollinator Habitat in Your School Garden (In-Person Workshop)

By GrowNYC School Gardens

Overview

Learn how to create a habitat that supports native bees, butterflies, moths, and other pollinators during this in-person workshop.

Pollinators are a necessary component of any garden community! Creating habitats that provide native bees, butterflies, moths, and other pollinators with much-needed nourishment is important in school gardens, community spaces, landscaping, and even window boxes! Join GrowNYC School Gardens and Edible Schoolyard NYC in this workshop where we’ll teach you all about the variety of pollinators in NYC, the native plants they love, and how to create a pollinator habitat for your urban space. We’ll also share lesson plans and activities you can take back to your classrooms to teach your students about pollinators and their habitats.

GrowNYC school garden coordinators along with ESYNYC educators & horticulturists are hosting this in-person workshop at GrowNYC’s headquarters in downtown Manhattan. Enthusiasts of all ages welcome!
