What: Enjoy an afternoon of crafting and friendship and let your imagination run wild. We'll supply all the instruction, templates, and supplies you need to carve a linocut stamp and create your own paper garland. This event is to raise money to reunite Aya and Samer, a lovely couple from Gaza!
Who We Are: We are a crafting event facilitator for people who want to have fun and have something to show for it. We'll walk you through each step of a unique project. We will provide everything required to create a masterpiece and we clean up when we are through!
Our Vision: Our goal is to foster community and create an environment where people can de-stress and build friendships. We want to re-create that “village” sense of belonging by providing something purposeful and creative for people to do together in a pretty setting.
About Aya & Samer
Aya and Samer lived in Gaza City with their three children, where Samer was the first pickleball coach! After following orders to evacuate to Rafah in 2023, their building was hit by an airstrike. They lost their beautiful 8 year old daughter Massa, and most of Samer's family. Aya and their two boys were evacuated to Egypt due to a spinal cord injury, but Samer was not permitted to join them. We want to help Samer purchase passage to Egypt to be reunited with Aya and their sons.
