About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

The Code of Ethics was created as a set of standards for professionals to adhere to in a specific field with specific rules and expectations to be followed. Sometimes these codes can sound tricky or may be misunderstood/misleading, especially with differences between National and State expectations. This 3 hour CE will use both the AAMFT and South Carolina code of ethics for LMFTs to discuss similarities, differences, and expectations between the two codes as well as how these codes apply to a technological world.

Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify similarities and differences between the AAMFT and SC Code of Ethics
  • Better understand the reason behind ethical codes and how to use them.
  • Conceptualize case studies where Ethical practice may be questioned
