CPTED & FFL: Enhancing Safety & Sustainability within Communities

CPTED & FFL: Enhancing Safety & Sustainability within Communities

By UF/IFAS Extension Nassau County

Overview

This program highlights Florida's CPTED requirements for multifamily residential properties and the Florida-Friendly Landscaping Program.

Join us for a 90-minute program designed for community association board members and community association managers exploring how Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles can be integrated with Florida-Friendly Landscaping practices. This session will help communities better understand CPTED principles and Florida’s CPTED multi-home statute requirement while highlighting strategies to enhance safety, sustainability, and curb appeal with the FFL Program. Participants will gain practical tools to support compliance, strengthen community engagement, and create landscapes that promote both security and environmental stewardship.

The University of Florida is committed to providing universal access to all of our events. For disability accommodations such as alternate formats of written material, please contact Taylor Clem, taylorclem87@ufl.edu, (904)530-6353 at least 1 week in advance.
