About this event

Charity & Causes • Poverty

Community Partners for Hope is a grassroots 501(c)(3) charity. Our mission is threefold:

  • to educate communities about critical social problems affecting them and others in the world and to produce events in which some positive action is taken to address the consequences of these problems
  • to promote volunteerism and, especially, volunteer leadership among our youth
  • to share our highly successful concepts and techniques with other communities to enable a broader geographic approach to achieve our primary goals.

Social Problems are our focus

We currently are focusing on two areas: Addressing HUNGER in all its forms (malnutrition, food insecurity and starvation) and improving MENTAL HEALTH, especially as it relates to issues arising from substance dependency, bullying, human exploitation and homelessness.

On Monday October 20, 2025, our Empty Bowls Project team is inviting the community to join together for a humble meal of soup and bread to raise funds for local food charities and educate people around issues of poverty and hunger in their community. For a donation, guests gather to eat a bowl of soup and bread, then choose a ceramic bowl to bring home as a keepsake and reminder of the hunger that exists.  Guests sit together, eat, and learn a little about how their donation has helped to fill the truly empty bowls of people less fortunate in their community. Proceeds will support the Pequannock Food Pantry and Grains of Hope NJ.
