The Clemson Extension Service will conduct a crop scouting workshop on Thursday

afternoon following the corn and soybean field day on July 24, 2025. The workshop

will begin after lunch and is designed to teach scouting techniques for and

identification of insects in cotton and soybeans.

Program Agenda:

Afternoon Session - Cotton/Soybean Insect Scouting Workshop

1:15pm - Program begins after lunch in the classroom next to the auditorium at EREC.

1:20pm - Program description and crop scouting safety tips

1:45pm - In field insect sampling and identification - cotton and soybean

3:45pm - Final questions and adjourn

Pesticide recertification credits and Certified Crop Advisor continuing education hours

will be available. If you intend to eat lunch provided just before the workshop and are

not pre-registering for lunch for field day, please let us know a week in advance that

you will attend lunch and the workshop. Pre-registration is required for lunch.
