About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Over two weekends in June, we are taking a ‘snapshot’ of the wildlife in Coton Orchard. Biological records from the event will be passed on to national recording schemes and will help to build our knowledge about the biodiversity in this Priority Habitat.

The activities and recording will be led by a number of experts from various fields. Come and see what we find and help with identification – with ID guides and experts on hand.

This event will be focused on opening small mammal traps, which will have been set the previous evening, and identifying the species found – with experts from the Cambridgeshire Mammal Group.

No mammals are harmed; all are released safely! The event is early and will start very promptly so the animals are released as soon as possible, and before it gets too warm.

Places are limited – book early to avoid disappointment.
