Medicinal Fungi Cultivation: A Cordyceps Militaris Grow Class
Overview
Taught by our Lead Mycologist and Director of Education, Christopher Vinci, join us for a hands-on, two-hour class focused on cultivating Cordyceps militaris, one of the most sought-after medicinal mushrooms. Christopher is the Founder and President of the University of Colorado Mycological Society and has over 20 years of cultivation experience. In this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of sterile technique, liquid culture handling, and proper grain inoculation as we prepare jars together step-by-step.
The class includes a guided lecture on the science of Cordyceps, covering:
- The mushroom’s unique life cycle and growth requirements
- Its well-documented health benefits, including immune support, energy regulation, athletic performance, and cellular recovery
- How to properly care for your cultures at home to ensure strong fruiting results
