Dance Conservatory/Ballet Theatre of Dover

The Dance Conservatory offers a Classical Ballet based program for BEGINNERS TO ADVANCED dancers with supplementary classes in numerous other dance styles and affiliated arts including Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Tap, and Musical Theatre. Repertory, Performance and Production. Classes are designed to fit everyone's needs- from fun and recreation, to learning a skill, health and fitness and a career-pathway. The program challenges students to apply technical aptitude and stylistic awareness to diverse dance pieces. A life-long LOVE and Appreciation of the art of Dance is the primary goal of the school

Our company, Ballet Theatre of Dover (BTD), is made up of select students of the school and offers these dancers invaluable performance opportunities.

Guest artists and teachers, and competition opportunities enable students to maintain a high standard of training. Students of the Conservatory had gone on to pursue professional careers including Boston Ballet, Colorado Ballet, Ballet Austin, Richmond Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet and Broadway companies. Others received scholarships to institution schools and colleges including School of American Ballet (SAB), Jacqueline Onassis School (ABT), Boston Ballet School Pacific Northwest, the Ailey School, The Juilliard School, Pointe Park University, University of the Arts, Long Island University, the Hartt School (University of Hartford) and Tisch School for the Arts (NYU).
