Are you constantly stressed out about work? Can’t stop worrying about work after hours? Finding it hard to focus on the things you love to do outside of work?

Then our Coping with Workplace Stress Workshop is for you!

Based in science, social work practices and tried and true methods, in four weeks you will be able to:

  • Recognize when and how work stress is negatively affecting you and your life
  • Use simple and effective coping strategies, practices and tools to reduce and eliminate those negative effects
  • Reclaim your personal time and fill it with fun and joyful activities that you love

This workshop isn’t about self-care suggestions, but about teaching you about the science behind the causes of excess work stress and tried and true social work-based practices to overcome them.

Practical and hands-on, this 4-week, 1 hour-per-week, online workshop will allow you to put our simple and easy coping strategies into immediate use.

During each workshop session you will:

Be introduced to scientific concepts that will help you reduce and eliminate the negative effects of workplace stress

Complete an activity to help you recognize the stress-related behaviors you have

Learn a specific coping strategy to reduce the stress related behavior

Get a coping tool to use to immediately begin reducing and eliminating workplace stress

Be able to ask questions and engage in discussion in a safe and caring community

Session Topics:

Week 1 : You Aren't Your Job! Learned Helplessness and Taking Back Control

Week 2: Negativity Bias & Catastrophizing. Turning Mountains back into Molehills!

Week 3: Brain Plasticity! Strategies to Rewire Your Brain to Stop Ruminating

Week 4: Negative Self-Talk. Set Feedback Boundaries & Create Your Personal Emotional Safety Plan

After each workshop session you’ll get one or two short, easy to complete homework exercises and activities to help you deepen your practice and reduce workplace stress throughout the week.

  • Anyone who is experiencing workplace stress that is interfering with their life outside of work hours

About the Workshop Creators and Facilitators:

Mother/daughter duo Karyn Ross and Serena Ross teamed up to create this course because they both saw firsthand the negative effects of workplace stress on their friends, family and colleagues. So, they put their heads together, drew on both their expertise and experience and created this workshop to help people develop the skills they need to overcome workplace stress and lead happier lives.

Serena Ross, LMSW is a Licensed Master of Social Work specializing in trauma informed care and aging. Serena is passionate about helping people regain a sense of control and strength in times of crisis. In her spare time Serena loves to knit and craft, laugh with friends and family, and spend time with her partner and their adorable chihuahua!

Karyn Ross is an internationally acclaimed Leadership coach, consultant and author of 8 books. Karyn helps people develop both as professionals and in listening to the “voice of their heart” to make the unique contribution only they can make. Karyn loves making art and spending time with her pets. She is also the Founder and President of The Love and Kindness Project Foundation a 501(c)3 focused on helping people think, speak and act more kindly.
