Is this therapy?

No, this is not psychotherapy, but people often report feeling less alone, more understanding of their own feelings and reactions,and  gaining new tools for coping from such meetings.

Question 2

Will there be any protection for privacy?

Accepted Answer

We will ask all participants to observe an honor system and agree not to repeat outside of or after the meeting anyone's name or anything anyone else shared in the meeting.   Attendees are not required to share their names with other attendees or in the meeting.

Question 3

Am I required to share my feelings in the meeting?

Accepted Answer

No one is required to share, but we encourage you to consider that everyone benefits when others share their feelings or reactions, for a safe and mutually supportive experience.

Question 4

Will we be discussing activism choices or politics?

Accepted Answer

Because our expertise/experience is helping people cope psychologically with highly stressful events and life changes, that will be our focus. Thus, we will not be focusing on ideas for activism, political action , or legal/constitutional issues, as other venues exist which address those.
