Can I stay with my child?

Yes! All parents are welcome to stay, but we advise that they will not be cooking with their children. They are welcome to sit and observe (and of course enjoy some tasty food afterwards!), but the goal of this series is that the youth develop their own skills with peers and independent practice.

Question 2

I am/have an older youth who already has extensive cooking skills, can I still participate?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Even if you know all there is to know in the kitchen, this can be a chance to work in the kitchen with other kids, take on a mentor role, or just come to hang out with other kids who like cooking!

Question 3

What should I do about allergen concerns?

Accepted Answer

If your child has an allergy, let us know at least 5 days prior to the session. Call 828-586-4009 or email rebekah_davis@ncsu.edu . Note: all recipes will be nut-free.

Question 4

I signed up for one session, can I attend all the others without filling all this out again?

Accepted Answer

Maybe... It depends on how many youth signed up for each month's cooking night. If you're interested in attending more than one month's class but do not want to sign up multiple times, just let us know!
