Who Should Attend: Families looking for information and vetted transition resources, school district professionals responsible for supporting students through transition, educators/counselors seeking information to better support students through transition, providers looking to expand their networks
Colleges and universities are increasingly committed to supporting students with mental health and learning differences.
Today, all U.S. institutions are required to provide a minimum level of support for students with disabilities. Many do much more by providing access to high-quality learning support centers, advising and student health services. A few go even further and offer programs specifically designed to meet the needs of students with moderate learning and social-emotional challenges.
Hear from our panelists in a wide ranging discussion about the college experience when you have learning challenges. We’ll also discuss how students can advocate for themselves. Our panel will help you learn how to assess your options and choose a college that can best meet your needs.

Students who have overcome learning and other challenges look to their upcoming high school graduation with excitement and a well-earned sense of achievement — mixed with a bit of trepidation about life after high school. Schools for Children is proud to present three evenings of panel discussions designed for families with students ready for what happens next after high school — and wondering how to manage the process of taking these next steps successfully.
