This program brings together the rising voices of American youth and the seasoned insight of David J. Firestein. As inaugural President and CEO of the George H. W. Bush Foundation for U.S.–China Relations, Firestein will deliver a keynote, “America’s Changing Strategic Assumptions about China: Implications for the Bilateral Relationship,” exploring the opportunities and challenges shaping this pivotal relationship.

David J. Firestein will deliver a keynote address drawing on decades of experience as a diplomat, educator, and thought leader. Firestein, widely recognized for his pragmatic and accessible analyses, will outline the opportunities and challenges that define this pivotal relationship.

7:00 – 7:30 PM | In Conversation
A moderated dialogue between David J. Firestein and Susan Yuqing Feng, Program Director of China Institute, also bringing youth perspective into the conversation, followed by Q&A with the audience.
