Description
The EU co-funded ARDITO project was launched in January 2017 and aims to connect content across the internet with rights management information with the goal of creating a true digital market place for copyright protected content.
Building on the work of the Linked Content Coalition (LCC) and the EU co-funded Rights Data Integration (RDI) project (http://www.linkedcontentcoalition.org ; http://www.rdi-project.org), ARDITO implements ready to use components of a Rights Data Network (RDN) through optimising a range of content identification technologies and integrating them into the Copyright Hub ecosystem,
With the ARDITO tools now being developed, users can find out about permissions directly from content they have discovered. They can do this wherever content is discovered on the Internet because ARDITO is using identifiers that cannot be stripped; watermarks and digital fingerprinting technologies. The organisations participating in ARDITO’s technical workstreams are the Copyright Hub, ALBUM, Icontact, mEDRA and bcom.
This workshop is a chance for innovative content providers and organisations to
(i) Find out about the project and the technologies used
(ii) Understand how this will support monetizing the re-use of creative content on the Internet.
(iii) Most importantly this workshop gives an opportunity for your organisation to test and feedback on the ARDITO tools with little or no technical input.
