Learn about the Kansas Certification Programs for disadvantaged, minority owned, and/or woman owned small business.
Should you get certified by the State of Kansas as a disadvantaged, minority or woman owned business?
The Kansas Statewide Certification Program promotes business development with a focus on disadvantaged, minority and women-owned businesses and offers certifications in these areas.
The certifications available to qualified firms are: 1. The Disadvantaged Enterprise (DBE); 2. Minority Business Enterprise (MBE); 3. Woman Business Enterprise (WBE); and Airport Concession Disadvantaged Enterprise (ACDBE). It is also possible to obtain more than one of these classifications for example DBE/MBE, etc.

- The requirements for to become certified
- The advantages of certification, and
- The certification process
These certifications are widely recognized and can be obtained at no cost. If certified, your company will appear in the Kansas Department of Commerce’s “Disadvantaged, Minority and Woman Owned Business Directory”.
