Do you crave deeper connection in your life? More play? More understanding? The ability to deeply relate with others in a way that has you feel seen and heard?

Do you want to cultivate and offer the gift of fully seeing and hearing those you care about— your friends, your children, your parents, your partner, you business associates and co-workers?

Hosted by The Connection Movement's Amy Silverman

$30 at the door  -   $25 in advance

Connection Labs are fun and playful evenings that incorporate experiential exercises which invite us beneath the surface and into a deeper experience of ourselves and others. They offer an opportunity for us to have fun and celebrate with great people who are also wanting to explore what’s possible in connection. Through a series of guided “games,” you can learn and practice new tools for better personal and business communication. You will likely also make some new friends and have some fun!

What you can expect to experience at this night:

· Connect with people at a deeper level – often just moments after meeting them

· Learn how to say what you need to say from a place of confidence – and have others hear it!

· Be able to share what is going on for you in a way where it is less likely to trigger a negative response in the person you are talking to

· Have more fun and playfulness around your relationships

· Find connection and compassion for people you interact with

· Be able to hear difficult communications without collapsing into bad feelings

· Communicate better in business situations

· Take home tools you can use right after you leave

This workshop is for men and women, singles and couples. It will be highly experiential, consisting of individual, paired, and group exercises that explore ways of seeing, connecting, appreciating yourself and others at a deeper level. They are a safe and structured way for us to go beyond small talk and beyond superficial appearances. Along with instruction and discovery, consider it a lab to try out what you have learned in a safe and low-risk environment.

Come by yourself, come with a friend, come with a partner— everyone is welcome!

We look forward to seeing you there!

Connection Lab begins at 7 pm and will wrap up around 10 pm - we generally visit, eat, socialize, and hang out in cuddle-piles after the games wrap up. Hope you'll plan on lingering with us.

The Connection Movement

TheConnectionMovement is committed to reviving human connection with ourselves and each other.  We are a growing International community that shares a commitment to deeper connection and richer communication in our lives.

An oasis and playground for connection, TheConnectionMovement meets 6-10 times per month in New York City and is launching soon in Charleston, SC, Southern Florida, Hawaii, and Barcelona.  Our get-togethers include public engagement social experiments, social gatherings, a deep and powerful inter-relational meditation practice called "Circling", and "Connection Labs" (structured activities that flex and engage our empathy, playfulness, listening, self-expression, and vulnerabilty).  The foundational principles and tools we engage with are inspired by the teachings of NonViolent Communication, Circling Europe, The Circling Institute, Authentic World, Ken Wilber's Integral Practices, and Creative Drama.

Founded in 2012 by Dan Sieling and Amy Silverman under the original name "Authentic Relating NY", TheConnectionMovement is directed and facilitated by Amy Silverman.
