Explore different types of water systems at Tiger Creek and help document the health of our water systems using water quality testing kits and observing water samples under a microscope.


Connecting with Conservation Weekends (CwC) introduces guests to TNC conservation priorities with a free monthly activity. This month’s tour focuses on Water. This event includes an hour and a half long buggy tour and a stop to collect water samples in our bayhead.


We will provide tools to monitor our wetlands found at Tiger Creek and will learn about the importance of protecting freshwater in Florida and around the world. This is an introductory tour to understanding the importance of water conservation.

Please Consider:

  • All guests will be required to sign a waiver onsite
  • All youth (ages 12-17) must be accompanied by a legal guardian
  • All guests must be able to climb steep steps to board the buggy.
  • Dress Code: Guests should wear bug/sun protective clothing. Closed toed shoes, long pants, hat, and sunglasses are recommended.
  • Parking: free onsite at office (1 ADA van accessible)
  • Restroom: 2 non-gendered (1 ADA compliant) at office Guests must use restroom prior to boarding buggy
  • Water: Cooler for water refills provided
  • Binoculars, sunscreen and bug spray available for use
  • There are two optional stops where guests will get off the buggy to explore. Stops will involve maneuvering in sandy soil and uneven terrain. Guests can remain on buggy.
