About this event

Community • City & Town

Cars are king in DFW’s concrete jungle. But, over the past 20 years, that’s started to change. DFW has transformed itself from pure concrete jungle to a place where hikers, bikers and other urban adventurers can thrive, and reconnect with the city’s wild side, through its construction of a large network of interconnected trails.

More synonymous with tollways and tall buildings than trailheads and tree canopies, the Texas metropolis has been on an admirable quest to establish over 150 miles of long-distance trails that will connect communities – to nature and each other – the old-fashioned way: by foot and bike.

This panel is presented by the team from TEXAS PARKS and WILDLIFE Magazine, you’ll meet some of the visionaries leading the way and get a glimpse into Dallas’ outdoor future.
