A 3-hour interactive session, led by Dr Celine Tabche, Lead for Rapid Response Teams Advanced Training Programme Implementation at Imperial College London’s World Health Organisation (WHO) Collaborating Centre. We’ll explore global and regional research priorities, opportunities, and challenges for researchers from or working in the MENA region. Against a backdrop of shifting geopolitical dynamics, funding trends, and public health crises, the session will unpack how global agendas intersect with local needs—and where and how researchers can contribute most meaningfully. Following the main discussion, participants will get the chance to present their research and receive valuable feedback from senior academics, while networking with peers and leaders in their field.
