Desired Designs is proud to announce Connect & Create: Design Empowerment & Vendor Connection Day, a free one-day event designed to celebrate local creativity, amplify small businesses, and inspire purposeful home design. The event will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 10am to 4pm at the Desired Designs Showroom, 3620 Lee Road, Shaker Heights, OH.
This community-centered day will bring together Shaker Heights residents and local entrepreneurs for a hands-on, welcoming experience that blends vendor shopping, design inspiration, and creative exchange. Attendees can explore handcrafted goods, design services, and practical resources for the home, while connecting directly with the talented individuals behind them.
“Design shouldn’t feel out of reach,” says Jakecia Durham, Founder and Principal Designer of Desired Designs. “This event is about showing people what’s possible - in their homes, their businesses, and their communities - and connecting them with the support to get there.”
Vendors will include local makers, designers, contractors, and service providers offering a range of home-focused products and ideas. The event is free and open to the public. Guests can expect a variety of offerings including home design resources, one-on-one conversations with local experts, and unique items for purchase - all under one roof.
