Dr. Damilola Momodu is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Schulich School of Engineering working on upscaling the graphene electrochemical exfoliation process for numerous applications ranging from energy storage to water treatment. Prior to joining U-of-C, he worked as an assistant lecturer and research fellow at the University of Pretoria where he obtained his PhD degree in Applied Physics with specialization in Materials Science and Engineering.
His research interests include 2D and 3D porous carbon-based materials suitable for supercapacitor and hybrid battery electrodes in which has extensively published and supervised students at the postgraduate level.
He is an active member of the Materials Research Society (MRS), the Electrochemical Society (ECS), South-African Professional Physicist Society.
