About Austin Walkin' Cane & Chris Allen:

Chris Allen and Austin Charanghat, known professionally as Austin Walkin’ Cane, have shared a lifelong musical partnership.

Their friendship began in kindergarten in Northeast Ohio during the mid-1970s. As teenagers, both took up the guitar, eventually pursuing different musical paths—Charanghat gravitated toward blues, while Allen explored rock through bands like Rosavelt and Falling Stars.

Despite their individual careers, they’ve remained close collaborators, notably performing together in the seasonal group Ohio City Singers. Over the years, they’ve co-written and recorded more than 100 songs, featured across eight of Walkin’ Cane’s albums and four of Allen’s solo releases.
