The other one-hour workshops in this series, as well as much of the Mendful Core Competencies Immersion Training focus on practices. Those practices stem from years of inquiry, learning and teaching in how humans show up with themselves and one another in times of conflict.
Unlike the rest of the workshops, this one will be a presentation and discussion format by Jill Nagle, founder and CEO of Mendful, on some of the key elements she has synthesized into the Mendful training.
Jill will talk about:
- The one two-letter word that hijacks our minds, and how we can use Mendful linguistic practices to reclaim clarity, connection, and joy
- Internal versus external reference, and NVC (Nonviolent Communication) as a practice of internal reference
- The somatics of internal reference — recognizing patterned (reactive) behavior in ourselves and others to bring ourselves back into presence, and to help others feel safe and make conversations more effective
- Conflict resolution as mending collective consciousness
Conflict can express itself within groups much as it does within families. When we recognize and work with this, conflict resolution can help the members of a group distribute the burden of metabolizing hard truths in ways that connect, replacing the more unconscious processes and practices that divide.

The training can lead to certification as a Mendful Conflict Resolution Coach (MCRC). Once certified, MCRCs can work within the Mendful app, earning money providing conflict resolution sessions to Mendful customers.
Again, each online session is recorded, and the recordings will be made available to all registrants of that session, and on the Mendful website.
