What is the purpose of composting?

There are a few goals: 1. Reduce food scraps  from going to the landfill. 2. produce finished compost and castings for increased plant growth. 3. grow red wigglers as fishing bait to sell or use for fishing. 4. teaching/learning opportunity to understand nutrient cycling.

Is composting difficult or complicated?

Our system of composting  is nearly fail-proof. In addition, you'll have direct access to a University of Florida faculty member for consultation free of charge, should you have any problems

What if I have questions after I take the workshop?

Accepted Answer

After taking the workshop, you will have direct access to a University of Florida IFAS Extension Faculty member. For any and all questions call us M-F 10am to 4pm at (904) 530-6353.
