Overview
Come join us as we create compost in a jar! This take-home project can help create a greener home. Perfect for young gardners. Limited spots available.
This event is open to Forysth County residents in North Carolina.
This event is for youth.
Discover how nature recycles with our Compost in a Jar activity designed for ages 5–11! Kids will layer soil, food scraps, leaves, and other natural materials in a clear jar to create their own mini compost system. As they observe the changes over time, they’ll learn about decomposition, microbes, and how compost helps the environment. This hands-on, sensory activity is perfect for young eco-explorers excited to dig into the science of rot and renewal!
