Complementary & Alternative Medicine Practices for the Treatment of PAWS
Overview
This training explores the phenomenon of Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS) and highlights evidence-based complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) interventions to support individuals in early recovery from substance use disorders. Through an integrative, holistic lens, participants will examine practices including mindfulness, nutrition, yoga, meditation, sound therapy, biofeedback, and nature-based interventions—designed to reduce relapse risk, manage PAWS symptoms, and support sustained healing and self-regulation.
