Welcome to Community Work Day - August!

Come join us on Sat, August 23, 2025 at 10:00 AM for an active day of learning, giving back, and enjoying the outdoors. We will be at Oasis Farm 7238 Fleury Way to work on various projects to tend to the farm, gardens, and outdoor campus.

Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or new to farming and gardening, everyone is welcome to lend a hand. Don't forget to wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle, and any tools* you think are helpful. Let's make a difference and grow together. See you there!

This event is FREE and open to the public. Registration is requested to help us prepare refreshments and supplies*.

*Bring your gloves, garden tools, and reusable water bottle, if you are able :)

Frequently asked questions

Where should we park?

The best location for GPS directions and FREE, street-parking is 709 Sterrett St, 15208, or on Kelly St (GPS = 7241 Kelly St , 15208 - across from Galaxy Lounge & Entertainment Center).

Bringing little ones!

We welcome learners, growers, and visitors of all ages, however, please engage and supervise any young people, especially under the age of 14 that are joining you on your visit. This is an active community farm and garden with many things to touch, taste, and explore.

What should we bring?

Please bring yourselves & loved ones (registration requested). We have a small supply of hand tools to borrow while at the farm, and ask if you're able to bring your own gloves, garden tools (snips, scissors, pruners) & reusable water bottle. We have a filtered pitcher for drinking water.

What should we wear?

This is a community farm & garden, so please wear closed toe, comfortable shoes and clothes you won't mind getting dirty. Please be mindful of signage and markings to designate growing beds and walking paths (usually stick to the wood chips and grass). You may also meet insects like mosquitoes.

Are there bathrooms?

There are 2 full restrooms available to use on-site. These are single-occupancy bathrooms with access to running water and accessible via wheelchair lift.
