JOIN US ON Saturday, December 16th from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, at Zion Baptist Church, 3600 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140! Your input about broadband access is critical to creating programs that meet the needs of our community now and in the future.

Pennsylvanians without access to affordable internet or computers to get online live in the digital divide. The PA Broadband Development Authority (PBDA) has created an ambitious plan to bridge that divide. Please join us at this community meeting to hear about the plan and share your feedback.

This meeting is a chance to provide your thoughts and be a voice for change. Together we can improve internet access in our region and throughout Pennsylvania!

For your participation in the Public Comment Session, you will receive:

  • A boxed meal for lunch
  • A gift card for your time
  • A voucher for a “Better” priced laptop from PCs for People provided to the first 50 households who meet eligibility criteria and who attend the full comment session.

    Eligible households must be currently participating in a government-based assistance program or have a qualifying household income less than 200% of federal poverty guidelines.

Children are welcome! We’ll have coloring books and crayons.

To determine if you are eligible to receive a PCs for People computer voucher, and be ready to receive it the day of the Event you can:

  1. Go to their online registration. You will receive a link in your confirmation email from Eventbrite.
  2. Stop by the PCs for People new storefront, located at 2251 N Broad St Philadelphia, PA 19132 the week of Dec. 11th from 10am-4pm and reference the “Philly Tech Fair”
  3. Call PCs for People at 215-621-8118 during the hours of 11am-6:30pm (EST) Monday-Friday and reference the “Philly Tech Fair”

PCs for People staff will help determine if you are eligible, help upload any documentation, and pre-register you for your device. In order to receive your device, you must attend the Public Comment Session.
