Overview
In collaboration with Arte Américas, People on the Move Film Series, invite you to a community Screening of Fremont - a film by Babak Jalali
Join us for a special screening of ‘Fremont’. This unique film is part of the People on the Move Film Series. The film tells the story of Donya, a young Afghan refugee who lives in Fremont and works at a fortune cookie factory in San Francisco. Looking for a connection, she decides to send a message to the world through a cookie.
The film explores the deep desire for home. Skillfully made and beautifully shot in black and white, Babak Jalali’s ‘Fremont’ provides a humorous and thoughtful look at this universal feeling.
