Community Screening: “13th” | Abolition Day Recognition
Overview
ABOUT THIS EVENT
In recognition of Abolition Day, the Orange County Office of Civil Rights & Civic Life invites you to a community screening of Ava DuVernay’s powerful documentary “13th.”
The film traces the legacy of the 13th Amendment’s exception clause and its lasting impact on race, justice, and mass incarceration in the United States. Following the screening, we’ll share space for a facilitated community conversation to reflect on these themes together.
