About this event

Between May 23 and May 25th, African Communities Together is hosting a "Week of Action" for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for African immigrants. We will be hosting this in-person community roundtable to allow members of impacted communities to learn more about TPS, ask questions, and join the various campaigns to secure TPS protection. Come meet advocates who are fighting for TPS for Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali, Mauritania, Nigeria, South Sudan, and Sudan. (Lunch will be served prior to the roundtable from 12:00-1:15pm.)

***In-person seating is limited, but participation through Zoom is available (link here).

The day will also include a press conference from 11:00-11:45am at the U.S. Capitol's House Triangle (map). During the press conference, movement leaders and members of Congress will make the case for and call on the Biden administration to enact TPS for African countries.
