Community Remembrance Practices: A Hands-on Workshop in Living Memory
By NXTHVN
Overview
Free, all-ages workshop. Please bring a small object, image, or artifact that symbolizes remembrance for you to contribute.
Taught by international artist and educator Nikesha Breeze, this two-hour, hands-on workshop invites participants into a shared exploration of memory, loss, and collective remembrance. Through group exercises, discussion of global remembrance traditions, and a collaborative sculptural process, we will create a communal artwork that honors personal and ancestral stories. This workshop is in collaboration with Yale C.A.R.E.
Please bring a small object, image, or artifact that symbolizes remembrance for you to contribute to the shared piece.
