Description

Join the Immersive Storytelling Community of Practice! We'll collaborate around the processes and tools that create immersive, inclusive, and participatory experiences of cultural and scientific heritage. The agenda will be set by participants, but possible topics include:

  1. Virtual reality, transmedia, and augmenting reality with any tools (digital or analog);
  2. Visitor-centric and participatory approaches to experience design, including playful and game-like experiences;
  3. Crowdsourcing and working with a greater diversity of voices and stories from communities;
  4. Institutional culture and its impact on experience design.

Practitioners, researchers, and technologists in the field convene in this Community of Practice to share their learnings, their trials, and their data to the greater benefit of all. The Immersive Storytelling Community of Practice kicks off at MW17 and will continue collaborating throughout the following year with the generous support of Wezit.

Sign up to attend the kick-off meeting on Thursday, 20 April 2017 from 3:30-5pm at MW17 in Cleveland, Ohio. We'll be in touch before the conference to get your input into the agenda for that meeting and the rest of the year.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, there is no additional cost to MW17 attendees to join a Community of Practice.
Register to attend MW17 and stay at the center of the action at the Conference Hotel – while rooms last!
