Community March: Uniting Across Difference

Community March: Uniting Across Difference

By Office of Equity, Opportunity and Accessibility

Overview

Walk with us Jan 18 as we honor Dr. King. From St. Paul College to the Capitol, we move forward together—echoing unity across Minnesota.

Join communities from across Minnesota for a day of unity, reflection, and forward momentum.
On Sunday, January 18, 2025, people from across the state will gather to honor Dr. King’s legacy of hope, service, and collective action.

Guided by this year’s theme, Echoes of Unity, the day begins at St. Paul College with a dynamic rally at 1 p.m., featuring remarks from community leaders and coffee (bring your favorite mug) to energize us for the journey ahead.

The Community March then travels from St. Paul College to the Minnesota State Capitol—a symbolic path reflecting our shared commitment to systems change and building a more equitable One Minnesota. At the Capitol, attendees will enjoy special performances from local talent, remarks from community leaders, community resource tables, opportunities for networking, and continued celebration of our collective strength.

As we walk, our footsteps carry forward the echoes of those before us—amplifying our vision for a more just, inclusive future and demonstrating the power of community in motion.

Walk with us. Stand with us.
Let’s move toward justice, together.
