About this event

Looking to plan an event but not sure where to even start? Or feeling hung up on a challenge like your budget, city permits, or flyer design?

Join us for this virtual interactive workshop where we’ll walk through the many facets of event organizing together and leave with a concrete plan of action to move forward. Facilitated by Drusilla Cowan (they/them), Director of Operations at Hot Stuff Studios + Event Management Consultant. Dru has years of experience working in events from many perspecitves, event organizer, venue, vendor, etc. They have organized over 100 intimate events + workshops for Hot Stuff Studios since 2022. Additionally, they just spent 2 years working at one of Oakland's oldest performing arts centers. Bring your questions to this information-packed workshop.

Topics we’ll cover:

  • Finding venues
  • Working with co-organizers / vendors

We’re a Queer femme owned boutique and community space showcasing amazing small businesses + artists from the Bay and beyond.

We started as an accessory line, You Are Hot Stuff, but recently expanded to showcasing other artists and holding space for Queer creatives in the East Bay. We host a regular lineup of workshops and events to support creatives.
