As artists on Long Island, many of us work in our home studios with little chance to share our works in progress in a supportive environment. Let’s change that!
Join us for Community Crit Night, a new monthly gathering at Kasher Gallery led by artist Syd Glasser. This open, conversational session invites artists of all levels and across all media to share their work, exchange meaningful feedback, and build creative connections.
Together, we’ll:
- Share works in progress in a safe, supportive space
- Discuss artistic methods, challenges, and goals
- Offer and receive constructive feedback
- Foster a community of growth and inspiration
Whether you’re a painter, writer, photographer, sculptor, designer, or working in any creative medium, you’re welcome here.
About Syd Glasser
Syd Glasser is a Long Island–based artist whose work blends abstraction and representation, inspired by the tension between urban decay and the grandeur of natural landscapes. A SUNY Binghamton graduate and longtime Brooklyn resident, she spent fifteen years in a Chashama studio residency before relocating to East Northport. Her paintings have been exhibited widely, represented by Equis Gallery, collected by the Godwin Ternbach Museum, and recognized by the Heckscher Museum’s Emerging Artist Program.
