Community vitality and connection starts with good spaces. The kind that gets us out of our houses, that our kids ask to have us go visit. Spaces where we bump into strangers, who become acquaintances, who become friends, who work together to make the place they live better for more people.
Rochester has always had these and we have an opportunity to create more of them. But what does that look like in a community that is changing and growing as fast as ours? Or a community that experiences our population turnover? Can it be force for change that results in more people of more diverse backgrounds choosing to make Rochester the long term plan?
Rochester is a decade into a generational transformation. As we embark on the most impactful years of the process it is essential that the decision making and community involvement include all voices, not just those who are most able to show up.
Join us on May 28th from 6:30PM to 8:00PM at the Chateau Theater as Evelyn Burnett from ThirdSpace Action Labs and a panel of local community builders guide a public discussion of the successes, opportunities, and historical challenges of making Rochester a destination for all.
