About this event

Come join us on the last Thursday of the month for Community Art Night! Do you have a small project you'd like to work on in one of our studio spaces? Are you just generally curious about the ceramics, printmaking, and photography studios? Do you want to hang out and make art in community with other islanders? This is for you!

This is a no-commitment, low cost way to get some artmaking time in. There is no formal instruction during community art nights, but we will have AAC staff monitoring both studio spaces, and we can help you if you have questions!

We'll have basic materials available in both studios, and you are free to purchase more if needed.

Community Art Nights are held in the ceramics and printmaking/photography studios on the AAC campus. Raku will be held outside the studio. Raku firing is dependent on weather - no firings during burn bans or big rain. Directions and parking information will be included in your confirmation email.

Registration: Please register early if you are able, as it helps us to assure that programs meet their minimums in order to run!

Frequently asked questions

Can I bring my kiddo?

Yes! Community Art Night is open to artists of all ages. Adults must accompany their children.

Can I just come for the potluck?

Sure! Feel free to drop in for our potluck, even if you don't plan to make work in the studios.

What does the fee for Community Art Night cover?

The fee covers your time and materials use in the studios.

If I made something out of clay, what happens next?

You can come to Open Studio to glaze your piece, and after it gets fired you can come pick it up! Pretty cool!

Where do I park?

Please park at the bottom of the hill and walk up to the studio - it's the big building on the left with a fish mural on it! There is an accessibility parking spot in the upper parking area for those with mobility issues.
