Commemorating the 234th year since Mozart's passing

By Toolip Art Gallery

Overview

A tribute to Mozart, just 56 meters from the house where he spent his final year composing the Requiem. Concert • Gastronomy • Art

Welcome to the most meaningful project we have ever created.

The Requiem group exhibition – where all art disciplines come together to pay tribute to the greatest maestro of all time, our neighbour: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Imagine standing just 56 metres from the very rooms where Mozart spent his final months, feverishly composing the Requiem, The Magic Flute, Ave Verum Corpus, and La Clemenza di Tito…

On the exact 234th anniversary of his passing, 5 December 2025, we will open the doors of Toolip Art Gallery for one single, unrepeatable evening that will bring his spirit closer than ever before.

This has never been done in an art gallery before. And the "coincidences" are almost too perfect to believe:

The first time this event takes place (1) On the 234th anniversary (234) On the December 5th (5) at Ballgasse 6 (6) 1-2-3-4-5-6

But wait...

The first time this event takes place (1) On the 234th anniversary (234) Just 56 metres from where he died (56)

1-2-3-4-5-6… again and again.

234th, and Mozart was only 35 when he left us, which is the consecutive number of 34...

True, We don’t believe in coincidences either.

Here’s what awaits you:

7:15 PM – Doors open in the intimate, candle-lit ambience of Ballgasse 6

7:30 PM sharp – Private concert: Mozart’s Requiem in D minor, K.626 performed live and in its complete form by the superb Camerata Aurea and four outstanding soloists:

Marelize Gerber (soprano), Anna Manske (alto), Richard Klein (tenor), Gebhard Heegmann (bass), accompanied by a magnificent string quintet featuring

Lucia Hall & Kinga Vass (violins), Marta Potulska (viola), Tristan Schulze (cello), and Anna Mittermeier (double bass).

Around 8:30PM As soon as the final “Lux aeterna” fades away (around 8:30 PM), the same space transforms into a banquet.

The legendary Viennese Stadtheurigen Gigerl will serve Mozart’s own favourite dishes and wines, the exact menu he loved and mentioned in his letters.

From 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM – Open doors for everyone. The haunting group exhibition REQUIEM – powerful new works by local and international artists (paintings, sculpture, photography, digital art, and music) – pays homage to Mozart and his unfinished masterpiece.

The vernissage is free and open to the public. The Concert and the Menu are paid events, check the info below.

The exhibition remains open until 31 December 2025, so you may return and linger as often as you wish. One night. One place.

One communion with eternity.

Because this evening can never be repeated and seats for the concert + banquet are strictly limited, secure your place now.

Full Requiem Experience (concert + banquet): €95 per person

Concert only: €45 per person If you have any questions about seating, the menu, accessibility, or anything else, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

This is more than a concert or an exhibition.

It is a once-in-a-lifetime moment to stand in the echo of genius and feel Mozart’s presence like nowhere else on Earth.

We truly hope to share this magical night with you.

With warmest regards and excitement,

Mrs. Toolip
